Monthly Support Group

The Honeysuckle Team’s specialist bereavement midwives run a monthly support group.

Group sessions take place in a calm, welcoming environment with refreshments, crafts and a listening ear for anyone affected by miscarriage, ectopic or molar pregnancy, termination of pregnancy for fetal anomaly, stillbirth and early neonatal death.

Please note we often take photographs and videos at our sessions for use on social media, on our website, and within other communication updates such as newsletters and magazines. Please be assured that we will always let you know we will be doing this at the start of any event or meeting but if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed that is perfectly fine, just let a member of our team know on the day.

Pilates After Baby Loss Classes

The PABL Project has partnered with The Alder Centre in Liverpool to provide physio-led Pilates after Baby Loss classes for those who have experienced stillbirth, early infant death or pregnancy loss from 20 week – this includes termination of pregnancy for medical reasons within the last 12 months.

The classes focus on postpartum physical recovery plus emotional reconnection with your body and are trauma-informed and loss sensitive. An essential part of the classes is the time given to peer support over tea, coffee and cake after the session.

The classes are FREE to attend. They are held on Wednesday afternoons and run in blocks of six sessions. For your own safety and wellbeing, at the time of starting the classes, you need to be:

  • at least 6+ weeks post vaginal delivery
  • at least 10+ weeks post C-Section delivery
  • have been told by a healthcare professional that you are safe to exercise

You can refer to PABL classes via this link https://thepablproject.com/group-classes-at-the-alder-centre
